ZTE ZMax announced: large, affordable and near-stock Android

ZTE is trying to enter the US market with affordable devices that also offer great performance. The ZTE Nubia 5S Mini recently entered the market at $280, but ZTE has really outdone itself with the ZTE ZMax.
This device costs only $230 (on T-Mobile) and sports a hefty 5.7-inch 720p display. Other specs include a 1.2 Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, 16MP/8MP cameras and a whopping 3400 mAh battery.
Interested in purchasing it? T-Mobile will have it available on September 24th!
Opinion: ZTE claims this phone can give you 2 days of battery life, and we certainly believe them. This may very well be the selling point in a market where smartphones can hardly survive for a day. For $230, you really can’t go wrong with this.

iPhone 6 Plus will only have 1 GB of RAM

iPhone 6 Plus will only have 1 GB of RAM

Apple is known for making the best out of its hardware, which means they can often make a good experience out of lesser components. Fans across the world have been begging for more RAM memory, though.
They are known for their lack of RAM memory and it seems their new generation iPhones will not be the exception. A new screenshot of the iPhone 6 Plus has emerged online, showing the device running a system status app. The RAM memory happens to tap out at just 1 GB, which isn’t much at all.
Opinion: Some were hoping that a larger iPhone would mean more memory or battery. We don’t know about the latter, but it looks like Apple is set on its ways in terms of RAM.

Punit Soni announces his departure from Motorola

Have you been noticed Motorola’s recent improvements? Their Moto X and Moto G devices offer great prices, innovative features, smooth experiences, impressive hardware and fast updates. We can’t give Punit Soni all the credit, but the VP has been overseeing all these projects during his stay.
He was put in charge of Motorola when Google acquired the smartphone manufacturer, and now he is announcing his departure from the company in a heart-felt letter he posted to Google+. There is no mention as to why this decision was made, but some believe it could be related to Lenovo acquisition of the company.
Opinion: Of course, Punit Soni has nothing but good thing to say about this company. And of course, he got to announce and talk about nothing but great products. We will certainly miss him.

A bit of code seems to have betrayed that wireless charging is coming to Chromebooks, allowing them to be inductively charged. Relevant information can be found already in the Chromium code . The Reddit user basmith7 found reference, in Chromium source code, to a Chromebook prototype called Ryu.
If you want to check out the code head on over to our OMGChrome to geek out on that.
