Apple Releases iOS 12.4.2 for Devices That Don’t Support iOS 13

Apple recently launched the iOS 13. As expected some of the older iPhones will not support iOS 13 and will continue running iOS 12. Apple has now released iOS 12.4.2 for devices that are running iOS 12 and cannot be updated to iOS 13.

You can download iOS 12.4.2 by going to Settings app>General section and Software Update. At this point in time, we are not sure whether iOS 12.4.2 bundles new features. Our guess is that it is a security update issued to fix some exploit or flaws for older Apple devices. It is worth noting that iOS 12.4.2 is available for iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and the 6th-gen iPod touch.

1. Check for Device Compatibility

Before we start it is important to know if your iPhone supports iOS 13. iOS 12 supports the following devices:

2. Delete Unused Apps

A major OS upgrade is a good time to think over the apps you have installed, and delete ones that you hardly use. While you can always delete apps from your home screen, another way is to go to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage> Manage Storage and then tap on the app you don’t need and hit “Delete App”. You will be able to see how much space is being occupied by the apps, so you can at least delete the ones that are taking up too much storage space.
3. Free Up Space

iOS 13 update will require at least 2GB of free space, so if you’re running low on free space on your iPhone or iPad, it might be a good idea to free up some space by deleting unwanted stuff from your device. You should have at least 2.5GB or more free space to be on the safe side.

4. Install Latest App Updates

App Developers have been working hard to get their apps ready for iOS 13. So don’t forget to install updates for the apps so that you can enjoy all the new iOS 13 features such as dark mode support, and you don’t face any issues.
5. Update to Latest iTunes

If you are planning to install iTunes to install the iOS 13, then make sure you’ve updated to the latest version of iTunes on your Mac or Windows PC.
6. Backup your iOS Device

It is always a good idea to take a backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch before updating it with the latest iOS software update. (Note that if you choose to encrypt your backup using iTunes, along with normal data, secure information like passwords etc. are also backed up.)

It can take an hour or two to download and install an update, so don’t do it if you’re in a hurry. On the day of the release due to the surge in traffic, it could take even longer to download iOS 13. So you should do it when you have enough time.

Apple should release iOS 13 at around 10 AM PST/1 PM EST. Since iOS 4 in 2010, Apple has released a major iOS software update at that time. Skype Beta for iOS Gains Screen Sharing Option

The latest beta release of Skype for iOS adds a handy screen sharing ability to the service. This means iPhone and iPad users will be able to share a live preview of their iPhone/iPad screen while on a Skype video call with other parties.

This will make it easier for one to use Skype for troubleshooting purposes or for quickly showing presentations or in-app content in which taking a screenshot is usually not possible. The feature is currently a part of Skype preview for iOS as well as Android.

Tapping the Share screen option while on a Skype call will bring up a UI similar to what one gets when they start a screen recording. Tapping the Start broadcast button will then initiate the screen sharing process.

There’s no word from Microsoft as to when the Screen Sharing feature will make its way to the public release of Skype. For now, it is only available for users who are on the Skype beta channel for both iOS and Android.
Our Take

The inclusion of Screen sharing gives Skype a major one-up over other video calling services including Apple’s own FaceTime and Google Duo. It does make Skype the perfect video calling tool for use in the enterprise segment as business users might find the screen sharing option incredibly useful.

9. You will see Samsung account page. Enter the required info asked on the page and tap on Sign-in.

10. Click again on DELETE ALL option and enter the required info. Click on confirm button and then go back to security option in the Settings menu.

11. Uncheck the “Reactivation lock” option >> click Ok >> enter the information >> click CONFIRM.



12. Now go back to the first page of Samsung account locked screen and try with your Samsung account info but if it doesn’t work then go one step back (Settings Wi-Fi page) and click on Next button.

13. It will ask for phone activation >> click on USE Wi-Fi >> click on next and follow the onscreen process.
